New places to eat, shop and meet are giving people more reasons to explore Southbourne in 2026. The changes stretch beyond the Grove, from a butcher’s shop in Tuckton to a coffee stop in Boscombe East. There is more to look forward to as businesses prepare to open or move into familiar local premises.
Ten Tables Bistro has added another independent dining choice to Seabourne Road. Nearby, The Stourfield Tavern offers a traditional pub setting for a meal or a drink, while Gordon’s Yard brings a Jamaican-themed bar to 152 Seabourne Road. Together, they give residents more ways to spend an evening close to home.
At Southbourne Crossroads, Run Ashore offers food, drinks and live music at 135-137 Belle Vue Road. Its location makes it a stop worth knowing about when exploring beyond the Grove.
Along Christchurch Road in Boscombe East, Batch Bournemouth has opened at number 1154. The independent coffee shop offers coffee and freshly baked treats in a relaxed space for a catch-up or a pause during the day.
South Coast Muscle Fuel has brought a modern butcher’s shop to 182 Tuckton Road. Husband-and-wife team Mike and Claire offer individual cuts of meat and personalised protein boxes, with local delivery available. Customers can choose what suits their household and ask for advice at the counter.
The Little Pantry combines its café with a pantry shop, giving customers another reason to spend time among Tuckton’s independent businesses.
SO·BOHO’s café opened in September 2026, adding a new place to stop for coffee within its Southbourne Grove space. It gives people another reason to visit SO·BOHO, whether they have an appointment or simply want to meet a friend.

Dress Devotion has announced a move into the former Southbourne Dry Cleaning premises at 7 Carbery Row. The boutique specialises in prom, pageant and party dresses, with personal appointments to help customers explore its collections.
Further along Christchurch Road, Clean and Press Coffee is preparing a space at 961 Christchurch Road, opposite Tesco Express. The business describes coffee and community as central to its plans, promising another place to pause and meet in Pokesdown.
The Bunkers is set to take over the former Betfred unit, and a new Greek restaurant is also among the arrivals planned for Southbourne.
