Halloween in Southbourne brings together creative workshops, costumed dog cafés and a family-friendly silent disco beside the beach. Southbourne Pumpkin Fest is also expected to return following the success of last year’s community celebration, although its 2026 date has not yet been announced. Mindful Mondays at The Cookie Shack
Biscuits by Sarah B is holding a Halloween-themed biscuit-decorating session at The Cookie Shack on Monday 12 October 2026.
Running from 7pm until 9pm, the workshop offers a relaxed evening learning professional decorating techniques. Participants will decorate a set of spooky biscuits using methods including outlining, flooding and wet-on-wet icing.
All decorating equipment is supplied, with drinks and snacks also included.
Tickets cost £30 per person. The biscuits and royal icing contain wheat, gluten and egg.
The Cookie Shack is accessed using steep steps and is therefore unsuitable for visitors with mobility difficulties.

Brewhouse & Kitchen Southbourne is hosting three Halloween Pup Up Café sessions on Saturday 17 October 2026.
Each session is designed for a particular group of dog breeds, giving dogs an opportunity to socialise in a secure, staffed space while their owners meet other local dog lovers.
The events include:
Halloween costumes are encouraged for both dogs and their owners.

The first session runs from 10am until 11.30am and welcomes dachshunds and their owners.

SOBO Loco returns to SOBO Beach for its third Halloween silent disco on Saturday 31 October 2026.
The event runs from 5pm until 9pm, with last entry at 7pm. Guests will receive wireless headphones and can choose between different music channels played by live DJs.
Fancy dress is optional but strongly encouraged, with prizes awarded to the best-dressed guests.
This is a family event and children are welcome. However, the organiser recommends it principally for children aged 12 and over because the event is expected to be extremely busy.
SOBO Beach will be covered by its winter tents, with outdoor heaters operating during the event. Dogs are not permitted.
Profits from the silent disco will support Southbourne Food Bank. Check the booking page for current ticket prices and availability.

Southbourne Pumpkin Fest is expected to return in 2026, but its date and programme have not yet been officially announced.
The event grew significantly in 2025, when Bournemouth Coastal BID worked with local businesses and community organisations to transform Southbourne Grove and its surrounding streets.

The previous event was free to attend and included temporary road closures around Southbourne Grove.
Bournemouth Coastal BID has described Pumpkin Fest as part of its longer-term plans for Southbourne and has indicated that it hopes to deliver an even larger event in 2026. However, the precise date, times and participating businesses remain unconfirmed.
